Core Values

In joyful gratitude to the Lord God for our salvation in his Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, we affirm wholeheartedly the following beliefs and core values as consistent with Scripture and central to our teaching, preaching, pastoring, church planting, evangelism and mercy projects.

Bible

We believe God has revealed himself and his promises in the Bible, which consists of the Old and New Testaments alone. Every word was inspired by God through human authors, so that the Bible as originally given is, in its entirety, the Word of God, without error and fully reliable in fact and doctrine. The Bible is clear to all who seek God’s will and are willing to live by it, though the human mind is finite and fallen in its reading of it. The Bible alone speaks with final authority and is always sufficient for all matters of belief and practice (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

Prayer

We acknowledge our total dependence on Christ through prayer and listening to him; because we know that every achievement comes from God. (2 Chronicles 7:14 and John 15:5)

Teaching

By God’s grace, we will work hard to teach the truth of God’s word faithfully at all times. In a ‘train the trainer’ approach, we will seek to train faithful men and women who are able to teach others also. We work wholeheartedly, as for the Lord and not for men. (2 Timothy 2:1-7 and 4:2-5)

Church planting

We will make disciples and plant churches by equipping, encouraging and resourcing local Christians to fulfill the Great Commission through rural church planting in areas of Mexico where people have limited or no access to the Gospel. (Acts 1:8, Mathew 28:19-20)

Team

Because we value teamwork, we place the needs of the team above our own desires. We also value adaptability in our approach in order to effectively minister within the cultural context. (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12, Hebrews 10:24-25)

Relationships

We value people over tasks because we believe life change happens through relationship. (Proverbs 22:2, Hebrews 10:24-25)

Conflict

We choose to live and serve according to the truth found in Scripture. However, we realize conflicts may occur. If they do, we will approach them with a heart of reconciliation and grace. (Mathew 18)

Stewardship

We will seek to be good stewards of the resources entrusted to us (finances, people, and time), recognizing they are God’s gift and provisions and not our own. (Mathew 25:14-30)
