These first few weeks of 2018 have been filled with glimpses of God’s goodness, and we are experiencing His favor on many fronts. There have been some new faces at the Vida church group and Bible studies, and we have welcomed some new believers into the Kingdom of God. (You can read their story in more detail here: https://www.vidaimpactmissions.org/2018/02/a-fiesta-in-heaven/)
We have also already welcomed six new students at the English school this year. Our new English teacher Jay is, indeed, an answer to prayers!

In addition, we have been given opportunity to share at several conferences this year. In January, we hosted a marriage conference focused on anger management issues. Approximately 30 people were in attendance – the most we have ever had. Please pray for God to continue to send people our way through these conferences and that we would form relationships with them.

A two-day Leadership Training event with a local church was also a success. We are blessed to see people of diverse ages wanting to grow in Christ and learning to study the Bible in deeper ways.
In February, we hosted a Missions team from Cuidad Valles (an area six hours from San Luis) to work alongside us for a weekend. During this time , we hosted a Kids’ Activity day in San Luis and at the native Indian mission “Chichimeca.” The team also went out into the surrounding region to share the Gospel. Some of them even helped with painting and electrical work, too.
We are excited to share that the English school expansion has begun! Thanks to the generous financial donations of people like YOU, we have been able to begin additional construction on the English School. Our goal is to add another 160 square meters of space, and we are well on the way. We are anticipating many more opportunities to interact with our students and the members of the surrounding community with the addition of this space.
God continues to show His grace to us and to open doors as He extends His purposes through us here in Mexico. We are being invited to share our faith and the hope we have through Jesus Christ in more public places (which is very unusual within the Circle of Silence). This past weekend we spoke at a youth gathering, and interest has been expressed to us about making this a monthly occurrence.
Please join us in praying for God’s guidance as we strive to share, encourage, and disciple the people He is bringing across our paths. It is our desire to humbly serve and represent Him well in our daily lives so the Circle of Silence will become a Circle of Proclamation to the glory of His name!
